They’ll attack anything unprotected so you’ll want to keep an eye on the outer edges of the home, and sheds on your property. You can also pre-treat wood to help prevent termites or consider working with woods that are more likely to be unattractive to termites, acting almost as a natural insecticide. If you do have an infestation, the first step in exterminating them will be to work on the colony and the nests. This can be done with bait style insecticides. Then you can begin to stop them where they have been attacking your buildings.
